I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. My mother gave me my interest for dogs. She bred and raised Alaskan Malamutes and I remember my childhood summers being spent around show rings. Of course children rebel- I chose a Newfoundland! I left the dog show world when I moved out and went to college, gained employement, got married and have two wonderful children. Life has progressed since then but I have always had multiple dogs with me and around me. Several years ago I discovered Leonbergers. When my old dog Bjorn passed I knew it was time to pursue this wonderful new breed I had long thought of. After almost a year I finally had a Leo pup. Jed joined my family and our two rescue mutts Abby and Astro. Within that year I had met many Leonberger people and had made wonderful friends- I was hooked!
I am honored to be able to serve the local Leonberger community. As I type, I look across my room and hear the soft, irregular thump of a tail against a wall. Tails wag and you know love as only a dog can give is soon to come. My greatest goal is to make life a bit easier for LCNW members so they can spend a little more time listening for that wag of a tail.

The treasurer manages the financial aspects of the club. I complete and file all club regulartory paperwork such as taxes, licenses, etc. and work with the board to develop the annual budget and track income and expenses.

The Secretary is the primary contact for club communications. I manage the database and send occasional emails announcing club news and events. I take meeting minutes and keep club records.
