Angulation [Front] - Geometric structural relationship between shoulder, chest and elbow
Angulation [Rear] - Geometric structural relationship between hip, stiffle and top of hock
Balance - Overall structure as a whole
Cow hock - Hocks turned in, and feet turned out
Dewlaps - Fleshy area under the jaw, transitioning to the chest
Ear set - Generally referenced in terms of proper, high set, rear set, or low set
Flews - Pendulous part of dog's lips
Hocks - Rear ankles
Croup - base of tail
Mane - Like a lion
Mask - Dark facial fur
Muzzle - Snout
Pastern - Front foot where it connects to lower legs
Stiffle - Rear knee
Stop - Transition between snout and head - area between eyes
Tail Set - Generally referenced in terms of proper, high set, rear set, or low set
Top Line - How straight is the back of the dog. Strong is straight. Weak sags
Withers - Point between shoulder blades on top of dog behind neck
Movement is gauged in two planes:
1. Down and back - View of movement from front and rear.
Reveals proper, "close", or "loose" movement in front and rear.
Paddling refers to a dog that moves (as viewed from the front) with elbows out and feet close.
2. Side movement - Visualization of gait, drive, and reach
